# Create a Project from a template If you want to use the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) in a new Project, you can create a new Project with a Template. When you do this, Unity automatically creates a [Universal Render Pipeline Asset](universalrp-asset.md) and assigns it to your Graphics Settings (menu: __Edit__ > __Project Settings...__ > __Graphics__ > __Scriptable Render Pipeline Settings__). To create a Project via a Template: 1. Open the Unity Hub. On the Home page, click __New__ to start a new Project. Under __Templates__, select the __Universal RP__ template. Give your Project a name and specify its location on your drive. 2. Click __Create__. Unity automatically creates a new Project for you, complete with all the URP functions and an assigned Universal Render Pipeline Asset. For more information on using Templates, see [Project Templates](https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ProjectTemplates.html) in the Unity Manual. If you’ve already got a Project that you want to install URP into, see [Installing Universal Render Pipeline into a Project](INstallURPIntoAProject.md).
